Kangana Lectures Instagram: ‘Change Your East India Company Attitude’
Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut can’t stay away from the news too long.
Now, she is disgruntled with Instagram as she couldn’t add the link of trailer of her upcoming film ‘Thalaivii’ to her Instagram Stories.
Slamming them for ‘unprofessionalism’, Kangana advised the social media platform to shed an “East India Company” attitude.
“Dear @instagram I need to add my film trailer link to my profile I am told my profile is verified so you own it now, even though I have earned and build this name and profile over many years but on insta I need your permission to add anything to my own name or profile,” Kangana wrote.
“Your team in India tells me that they need to take permissions of their international bosses… it’s been one week feeling like a slave of bunch of white idiots… Change your East India Company attitude you morons,” she added.
According to the actress, she had applied to have ‘Thalaivii’ added to her name on Instagram after which the edit section of her account was locked.
“Now I can’t even add my trailer to my account in the website section. Such unprofessionalism from @instagram is unacceptable,” she stated.
It may be recalled that Kangana’s Twitter account was permanently suspended in May for violating the microblogging site’s policy on hate speech.
The controversy-loving actress has previously criticized Instagram, saying that it has no scope for any conversations and exchange of ideas, and is largely superficial.
In Thalaivi, Kangana plays former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa. The film, which also features Arvind Swami, Bhagyashree and Jisshu Sengupta, will be released in theatres on September 10.
