New Delhi: Close on the heels of the ‘Tejas’ debacle, Kangana Ranaut has begun working on her next movie. On Saturday, the actress revealed on X that she has started shooting for a psychological thriller. Even though Kangana did not share much information about the yet-to-be-titled movie, she revealed that it is a “very unusual and exciting” script.
“Today in Chennai we started filming our new film, a psychological thriller. Other details coming soon. For now need all your support and blessings for this very unusual and exciting script (sic),” she wrote.
On her Instagram stories, Kangana also shared a picture of the mahurat shot and sought blessings from all. “Need all your love and blessings for our new journey starting today, back with my many favourites,” she wrote.
Kangana will be seen in Emergency, of which she is also the director. In the film, Kangana will be seen playing the role of the former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Besides Kangana, Emergency also stars Anupam Kher in the role of revolutionary leader J P Narayan, Shreyas Talpade as former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
Emergency was initially supposed to hit theatres on November 24, 2023, but it has now been postponed to next year.
