‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ Release Date Announced; Check Here

Mumbai: Ever since ‘Kantara’ became a phenomenal hit in 2022, movie lovers have been yearning for more. Their wait is finally over.

Hombale Films announced on Sunday that ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ will hit theatres on October 2, 2025, during the festive occasion of Dussehra.

Just like in ‘Kantara’, the multi-talented Rishab Shetty has written and directed the prequel as well as portrayed the main role. Jayaram and Jisshu Sengupta are essaying other important characters.

Shooting began in November 2023, with the first look and teaser being released on November 27, 2023. B Ajaneesh Loknath has composed the soundtrack and background score.

To prepare for this role, Rishab trained rigorously to master Kalaripayattu, an ancient martial art form from Kerala.

Despite being a Kannada language film, action thriller ‘Kantara’ was loved by audiences across India for its gripping script, lovely visuals and heart-touching performances. ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ promises to be just as exciting.
