Kapil Dev Admitted To Delhi Hospital Over Heart Issues, Stable
New Delhi: Cricket legend Kapil Dev who suffered a minor heart minor attack earlier in the day is stable after undergoing angioplasty in a Delhi hospital
The World Cup captain is at the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute in the capital and is under the treatment of Dr Atul Mathur, Director of the cardiology department, agencies reported.
The hospital issued a statement saying the former cricketer is currently in ICU and is under close supervision.
Several sporting personalities, including badminton star Saina Nehwal, former India opener Gautam Gambhir and commentator Harsha Bhogle took to Twitter to wish him a speedy recovery. “Wishing the big-hearted, mighty Kapil Dev a speedy recovery. So much more to do.” Bhogle tweeted. “Wishing u speedy recovery sir @therealkapildev…,” Saina wrote on the micro-blogging site.
Cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra urged his followers to pray for the quick recovery of the legendary Indian cricketer who inspired an entire generation of young kids to take up the sport.

India lifted the World Cup under the captainship of Kapil Dev defeating Wes Indies in 1983.
