Mumbai: A day after Deepika Padukone and Raveer Singh announced their November wedding date, actor-comedian Kapil Sharma on Monday confirmed that he will be getting married to his longtime girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on December 12 in Jalandhar.
The wedding will be followed by a reception on December 14.
Speaking to The Indian Express, Kapila said, “The wedding is on December 12 in Jalandhar. That’s Ginni’s hometown. We wanted to keep it low key. But Ginni is the only daughter in her family. Her folks wanted the wedding to be on a lavish scale. And I completely understand their sentiments. My mother also wants the wedding to be lavish.”
Source close to him had earlier disclosed about his wedding plans. “His close friends have been asked to keep themselves free during the time. He should be officially making the announcement soon,” the source said.
Kapil, who has been busy with the promotion of his Punjabi film, will soon be back on television with the next season of The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony TV. The show will have Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar and Sumona Chakravarti, besides some young talents.
