Kapil Sharma Hits Back At Troll Calling Him ‘Idiot’ Over ‘Chak De India’ Hero Confusion!

Mumbai: Popular comedian-actor Kapil Sharma welcomed 2026 in his trademark humorous style, and also wittily responded to a troll who called him an ‘Idiot’ over the ‘Chak De India!’ hero confusion.

The trolling began after a video clip from ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, featuring Team India women cricketers and their coach Amol Muzumdar as guests, resurfaced online.

The troll accused Kapil of confusing hockey goalkeeper Mir Ranjan Negi, whose life inspired ‘Chak De! India’, with onscreen coach Kabir Khan, portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan in the film.

“Idiot @KapilSharmaK9 should know that the real hero was Mir Ranjan Negi not Kabir Khan the reel hero! I wish Amol Muzumdar had fact check this clown,” the troller said.

Kapil hit back at the troll, clarifying that he was referring to Shah Rukh, and the remark was made in jest.

“Dear sir when did I say Kabir khan? I said Shah Rukh khan, and it was in a humorous way, which you will never understand bcoz apka taansane to besura hai hahaha, anyways happy new year. Stay happy n spread happiness,” Kapil responded.

When another user advised Kapil to ignore the negativity, Kapil wrote, “I know Gupta ji, I was just sitting in the toilet that time. Kuch alag se time nahi nikala maine inko reply karne ke liye. Hahaha, Happy new year to you too sir.”

Following the online exchange, fans praised Kapil for his honest, unfiltered and relatable personality.

Kapil also wished a Happy New Year to his followers.

“Wishing you and your family heaps of New Year greetings ❤️🙏🎉 I pray to God that the new year brings heaps of happiness into all your lives 🙏 Stay happy and keep spreading joy,” the comedian wrote.
