Bhubaneswar: In the wake of the death of seven elephants in Karlapat Wildlife Sanctuary in Odisha’s Kalahandi district in the last three weeks, the Odisha government on Monday suspended livestock inspector Ganesh Pujari for alleged dereliction of duty.
Additional director, Animal Resources and Veterinary Services Pratap Kishore Khamari informed that Pujari had allegedly faulted in discharging his duty as per norms during vaccination of cattle necessitated following mass death of elephants in the sanctuary due to haemorrhagic septicaemia.
