Kendrapada: The district administration has declared Keutkandia village of Laxmi Narayanpur panchayat under the Derabish block in Kendrapara district as a containment zone for 48 hours on Monday morning, said sub-collector Jyoti Shankar Mohapatra.
The clampdown came after getting information about a man from Bari area of Jajpur district who recently visited his father-in-law’s house in Keutkandia village.
On being informed, the administration declared Keutkandia as a containment zone.
Officials said the movement of people will be restricted in the containment zone. All essential commodities will be made available to the villagers, they added.
