New Delhi: Odisha added more medals in its kitty on the sixth day of the Khelo India School Games, taking the total tally of medals at five. Odisha has so far bagged two gold medals, one silver and two bronze medals in the event.
While Bhaktaram Desti won a gold medal in 50kg Weightlifting (Boys), Sneha Soren added a lone silver in 48kg category weightlifting.
Earlier, swimmer Pratyasha Ray had bagged two bronze in 100m and 200m backstroke. The first gold medal for Odisha was clinched by Punga Soren in 110m hurdles.
In boys’ hockey, Odisha registered an easy 5-1 win against Delhi to book a spot in the semi-final. The boys’ team will clash with Uttar Pradesh in the semis on Wednesday.
Odisha has sent a 75-member contingent to the school games.
