Bhubaneswar: The state on Sunday achieved the rare distinction of having 104 patients cured of COVID-19 after treatment through plasma therapy even as 2519 recovery cases were reported on the day.
According to Health and Family Welfare department, 419 recovered cases were reported from Khurda, 216 from Ganjam, 210 from Puri, 205 from Rayagada, 169 from Koraput, 150 from Mayurbhanj, 129 from Cuttack and 100 from Balasore district.
Similarly, 95 patients recovered from the disease in Nayagarh, 85 in Sambalpur, 84 in Malkangiri, 77 in Bhadrak, 76 in Dhenkanal, 58 in Nabarangpur, 48 in Kandhamal, 45 in Balangir, 42 in Sundargarh, 40 in Gajapati, 39 in Kendrapada, 38 each in Jharsuguda and Keonjhar, 33 in Sonepur, 28 in Nuapada, 27 in Jagatsinghpur, 25 in Bargarh, 19 in Kalahandi and 12 in Jajapur.
The number of recovered cases in other districts is as follow:
7 from Deogarh
4 from Boudh
1 from Anugul.
With the day’s figure, the total recovered cases in the state have gone up to 73,233, the department stated in a tweet.
