Bhubaneswar: KIIT and KISS founder Achyuta Samanta on Sunday backed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to strengthen alumni of an institution to bolster its development.
“We absolutely agree that strengthening alumni can strengthen the institution and bolster development. At @KIITUniversity and @kissfoundation, we acknowledge and empower alumni who play a key role as ambassadors of their alma mater,” Samanta tweeted.
Earlier at his monthly radio show ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the PM had emphasised the need to embrace the strength and talent of the alumni of any college or school.
Modi also requested all to strengthen their bonds with the institutes they studied from and asked the institutes to engage the strength of their alumni in innovations and development to constantly bring better opportunities for the current students.
He also expressed that it is vital that not only the urban schools, colleges and universities but even the rural schools must have a strong alumni network.
