Bhawanipatna: One more elephant was found dead in Karlapat wildlife sanctuary in Kalahandi district on Sunday, taking the toll to six so far.

A female elephant was found at the same place where four carcasses were found earlier, the Regional Chief Conservator of Forest (RCCF), Sudipta Dash, informed.

Dash said the carcass has been sent for post-mortem.

The post-mortem of the elephants who died earlier has revealed that the deaths were due to haemorrhagic septicaemia.
