Bhubaneswar: The Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) has tied up with Shubhra Foundation, Gujarat to set up a rural hospital in Kunchisole village, under Betnoti, in Mayurbhanj district.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by Badri Mohapatra of Shubhra Priyambada Foundation, and KIMS group director Dillip Panda, in the presence of KIIT, KISS & KIMS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta and Shubhra Foundation director Smita Murmu, who has been working for over 30 years in Betnoti and surrounding areas of Mayurbhanj district in healthcare and other social welfare activities.
As per the agreement, Shubhra Priyambada will provide all infrastructure, and KIMS will take responsibility for the hospital’s clinical establishment, operations and overall administration.
Tribal and local populations of Betnoti will benefit from the setting up of the KIMS-Shubhra Hospital.
Expressing delight over the signing of MoU, Dr Samanta said that the new hospital will become operational soon.
