Bhubaneswar: Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) will collaborate with Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) on a research park and incubation cell.
The two organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly work on several other areas such as consultancy, advisory, education, community outreach and social responsibility projects, skill development programmes, collaborative research and sponsorship of research scholars, and short-term training programmes.
Biswaranjan Pattanaik, Director (HR) of AVNL and Dr Prashanta Routray, Registrar, KISS-DU signed the MoU on Wednesday.
Among others present were AVNL General Manager (HR) Ranjan Kumar Bal, KISS-DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Deepak Kumar Behera and KIIT-DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Saranjit Singh.
AVNL, an Government of India enterprise under the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, will provide scholarships for the research period (maximum of 4 years), aligned with Central schemes for doctoral degree students.
Under the agreement, KISS and AVNL personnel can jointly or individually offer short-term training programmes lasting one to two weeks for the benefit of KISS students and AVNL employees.
