Know Five COVID Vaccination Sites In Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: With the first consignment of COVID-19 vaccines scheduled to arrive in Odisha on Tuesday afternoon, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) said it is ready to launch the vaccines at five healthcare facilities in the city.
Briefing mediapersons, BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary said the vaccines will be launched at Capital Hospital, Community Health Centre (CHC) at Unit-4, BMC Hospital, Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital and Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) on Saturday (January 16).
Chaudhary informed that the BMC has shortlisted 21,000 doctors, health care workers and staff for vaccination.
The remaining health care workers, who are yet to register their names for vaccination, should do so by Tuesday evening.
“The registration of names will remain open till this (Tuesday) evening. I appeal to the health care workers to get their names registered by then,” Chaudhary added.
He further stated that the vaccination drive will be conducted at 45 session sites including 27 government and 18 private hospitals in the state.
