Know The Restrictions During 48-Hour Shutdown In Bhubaneswar & Bhadrak Town
Bhubaneswar: Odisha DGP Abhay on Friday elaborated on the complete shutdown being imposed in Bhubaneswar and Bhadrak town for 48 hours from 8 pm on Friday to put brakes on possible community transmission of COVID-19.
He said shops selling essential commodities will be closed during these 48 hours.
There will restrictions on medical services. “Limited medical stores as decided by the local administration will be given permission to remain open. For medical emergency, patients will be allowed to travel to hospitals only in ambulances. The number of ambulances will be increased and private hospitals have been asked to keep their ambulances ready,” he said.
The lockdown passes will remain suspended during these 48 hours and a new shutdown pass will be issued to those working in essential service sectors like healthcare and telecom, the DGP said.
There will be no restriction on goods vehicles plying on different national highways. “Cuttack-Khurda Road will be unhindered. Similarly, there will not restrictions on national highways passing through Bhadrak,” he added.
