Bhubaneswar: Amidst the rise in COVID-19 cases in educational institutes, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said the State government-run school or hostel are free from the infection.
To keep the virus at bay from educational institutions clear instructions have been issued to relevant officials to ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Dash added. He also asked the authorities concerned to strictly follow the guidelines in their respective educational institutions.
The district administrations have also been asked to keep close watch on private schools, he added.
Dash however, made it clear that “No decision has yet been taken regarding closure of schools in the state.”
The state government has already announced to end physical classes this month end and only doubt clearance session would continue.
On Thursday, a student at the Kendriya Vidyalaya-1 in Bhubaneswar was the latest to have been tested positive for Covid-19, triggering fear and concern among parents.
