Khandwa: In a major embarrassment, a private school in Madhya Pradesh’s Khandwa has been pulled up for asking the full name of the son of actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in a GK question paper for Class 6 students.
The private school’s bizarre exam paper has left the parents annoyed, who have wasted no time in flagging the issue to the state’s school education department.
The snapshot of the question paper, that went viral on social media channels, elicited widespread criticism and ridicule alike.
The Academic Heights Public School here has been sent a show-cause notice by the department following the development. The school didn’t respond to queries.
District Education Officer SK Bhalerao said, “Appropriate action would be taken against those responsible for this after reply is received from the school on the notice issued to them.”
Terming the question neither informative nor useful, president of the Parents’-Teachers’ Association Anish Arjhare said, “Instead of this inappropriate question, they could have asked about Ahilyabai or Shivaji Maharaj who have sacrificed their lives for the country.”
Understandably, most of the students didn’t know the answer.
