Bhubaneswar: The stage is set for the world-famous 5-day Konark Dance Festival & International Sand Art Festival to be held at Konark from December 1 to 5.
The 31st edition of the Dance Festival, being organised by Odisha Tourism, will be held at the Open Air Auditorium with the magnificent Sun Temple in the backdrop.
The event showcases the best of India’s traditional and classical dance forms, besides offering interesting insights into the rich cultural heritage of the country.
Along with Odissi, traditional artistes from different states will perform Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Manipuri and Kuchipudi. All the stage shows shall be aired live through @DD_Bharati and Social Media. The first day will begin with Odissi by

The International Sand Art Festival, started in the year 2015, will be held coinciding with the dance festival, on the spectacular Chandrabhaga Beach, around 3 km away from the Sun Temple.
In view of the COVID-19 global pandemic, the event will be organised following the guidelines and protocols issued by Government of Odisha and Government of India. Due care shall be taken for entry of visitors, maintaining social distancing and sanitisations.
As many as 70 artists from across India and within the state will participate.
