Rourkela: The semester examinations of the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) scheduled on Monday was cancelled following the 12-hour bandh call given by Kosala State Coordination Committee in western Odisha.
In a notification, the BPUT authorities have said the revised schedule for the examinations would be announced soon.
More than 33,000 students were scheduled to appear the examinations in different centres and sub-centres in the state on Monday.
Considering that no vehicle would ply in most parts of western Odisha, the university authorities decided to postpone the examinations.
