Mumbai: After weeks of speculation, Farhan Akhtar’s production house, Excel Entertainment, has finally confirmed that Kriti Sanon will be replacing new mom Kiara Advani in ‘Don 3.’
Excel Entertainment on Wednesday shared a press release stating, “Farhan Akhtar is also preparing for his next directorial venture, Don 3, which is expected to go on floors in January 2026. The film will feature Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon in leading roles.”
The announcement came a day after Kiara and Sidharth welcomed their first child.
The makers are yet to cast the antagonist and are reportedly in talks with several A-listers for the role.
Earlier, Kiara was roped in to play the female lead in Don 3. However, she later opted out of the film due to pregnancy. As per a Pinkvilla report, she “chose to prioritise her personal life” over the film.
Meanwhile, Kriti’s birthday message for Ranveer on Instagram along with a note at the end which read as, “P.S. Looking forward to working with you soon!” had sparked speculation about her casting in ‘Don 3’.
