Mumbai: Govinda and Krushna Abhishek have finally decided to let bygones be bygones and end their seven-year long feud.
The bitter relationship between the uncle and nephew sweetened when Krushna visited Govinda to check on him after the latter’s bullet injury.
Confirming that they have buried the hatchet and united as a family, Krushna told ETimes, “We’ve finally buried the hatchet and moved on. We laughed, joked, and reminisced about old times. It felt just like before. All those years I spent living with mama and mami (Sunita) in their home flashed before my eyes. Maine mama ko bola ki hall toh poora badal gaya hai. Ab sab issues resolve ho gaye hai, sab gile shikve door ho gaye hain (I told him the hall has changed completely. Everything has been resolve and there are no grudges). I am glad there was no mention of the past and that’s how families are. There can be misunderstandings, but nothing can keep us apart for long. I couldn’t meet mami as she was busy, but honestly, I was a bit scared to face her because I knew she would scold me”.
“I’m glad we’ve finally buried the hatchet and moved on. Now I’ll keep visiting, and I’ll also meet mami (aunt),” Krushna added.
When Govinda was hospitalised after accidentally firing a bullet in his leg, Krushna’s wife Kashmera Shah visited the senior actor at the hospital. However, Krushna couldn’t meet his uncle at that time as he was in Australia.
After flying back from Australia, Krushna went to meet his uncle, who is currently recovering at home.
Krushna and Govinda’s relation had turned sour after the latter got offended by the jokes cracked on him by his nephew on national television.
Govinda had expressed his displeasure publicly and even called his nephew a liar.
