Bhubaneswar: The landfall of the Cyclone Amphan in the Sundarban area near the West Bengal coast began around 2.30 pm on Wednesday.
Informing the media here, Director, Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, HR Biswas said the process will continue for about four hours.
He also said that the forward sector of the wall cloud region has entered the landmass in West Bengal.
