Mumbai: Days after the release of ‘Toxic’ was postponed, a viral thread on Reddit claims to have leaked the film’s plot, suggesting that Yash’s character enters into a sham marriage with Nadia, played by Kiara Advani.
“In the lawless heat of old-world Goa, Raya, a ruthless femboy mobster, is forced into a sham marriage with Nadia, a rival lesbian heir. Raya weaponizes the union, unleashing a violent, stylish tyranny to crush the coastal cartels and seize absolute control,” read the leaked synopsis of ‘Toxic’ shared on social media.
While the actual plot of ‘Toxic’ can be confirmed by the makers alone, the leaked synopsis has created a buzz on social media.
Under the viral thread, a social media user wrote, “Considering that Geetu Mohandas’s previous work was Moothon, this can be a very high possibility.”
Another commented, “Well actually, I’m now really intrigued!”
Pointing out that this is a fake synopsis, one netizen posted, “This is some fan edit. Personally done out of spite during the D2 vs Toxic clash fan wars.”
Another internet user wrote, “This is some Yash hater that has edited tmdb which has been picked up by letterbox. Just like the Wikipedia page corruptions done to malign people and projects editors hate.”

Geetu Mohandas-helmed ‘Toxic’ is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films of the year.
The film also stars Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria in key roles. Initially slated to hit theatres on March 19, ‘Toxic’ will now be released on June 4.
Explaining the reason behind the delay, Yash shared, “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups is a film we conceptualized with the vision to create cinema for a global audience. Filmed in Kannada and English, it is built with the conviction to connect with viewers both at home and across the world. After years of dedicated labour, we were excited to share our film with you all on the 19th of March. However, the current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East, has created a situation that impacts our goal to reach and connect with the widest possible audience. Therefore, in the interest of our partners and our audience, we have made the difficult but carefully considered decision to reschedule our release. We thank you for your understanding and patience and look forward to your continued love and support.”
The post further read, “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups will now be released in cinemas across the globe in English and Indian languages on 4th June 2026.”
