Bhubaneswar: One of the greatest spinners and Australian cricket legend Shane Warne passed away in Thailand on Friday. He was 52.
Warne’s management, in a brief statement to Australia media outlet Fox Sorts, stated that Warne passed away in Koh Samui, Thailand, of suspected heart attack. “Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,” the statement said.
Warne, considered one of the greatest bowlers in cricket, captained the Australia team in ODIs. Besides playing international tournaments, he played domestic cricket for home state of Victoria and English domestic cricket for Hampshire.
