Boudh: A leopard died in a road accident on National-Highway (NH)-57 inside Shalabhanga forest near Boudh district on Wednesday.
According to sources, the leopard had strayed on to the highway from the surrounding Shalabhanga forest and was run over by a vehicle around 11 pm.
Notably, a stretch of NH-57 runs through Shalabhanga forest, which is located in Baisipalli Wildlife Sanctuary near the border between Boudh and Nayagarh districts.
