Balangir: Panic gripped local people after a leopard was spotted at Saintala area near the ordnance factory in Balangir district on Wednesday night.
The locals have made a video of the leopard roaming on the roads and made it viral on social media.
“I have seen the video but I do not know how many leopards are there as they have been coming out of the jungle in search of food, especially at night. We have taken precautions. Our staff has been going to the villages and warning people not to step out of their homes at night,” said Titilagarh Ranger, Jitendriya Nanda.
It may be recalled that two leopards had been spotted on the roads of Saintala near the ordnance factory in December last year.
