Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Bhubaneswar, on Wednesday issued lightning and thunderstorm warning for 16 districts in Odisha. The alert would remain in effect till 7.30 pm.
The districts are Balasore, Cuttack, Deogarh, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Sonepur, Ganjam, Boudh, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Koraput and Gajapati.

People of these districts have been advised to take shelter at nearby buildings and other safe locations during this period.
