Lizard found in midday meal, 50 children fall ill

Bargarh: As many as 50 children were taken ill on Thursday after consuming midday meal in which a dead lizard was found.
The students of Harijanpada Upper Primary School in Bargarh district complained of headache, stomach pain and dyspepsia soon after having the meal. Some of them claimed that they had seen a dead lizard in the dal served to them.
The students were admitted to Bargarh district headquarters hospital and later discharged after primary treatment.
Parents of these children have demanded a thorough investigation into the matter and strict action against those responsible for it.
