Lockdown Extension Under Centre’s Consideration After PM-CMs Meeting
New Delhi: The Central Government is likely to extend the nationwide lockdown imposed in the wake of spread of coronavirus after May 17.
According to sources, the Government is contemplating the extension following suggestions made in this regard by some states during the meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the chief ministers through video-conferencing.
The Prime Minister has requested the chief ministers to share a broad strategy to deal with the lockdown by May 15 so that a blue print on dealing with the situation after gradual easing of the lockdown can be drawn up.
