Berhampur: Following the steady rise in the number of COVID patients, the Ganjam district administration on Sunday declared a lockdown in the district till June 30.
Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange said that during the two-week lockdown, only shops selling essential items will remain open from 7 am to 12 noon. He also asked people not to move out of their houses after 12 noon.
Besides, there will be no plying of buses, auto-rickshaws and private vehicles in the district during the lockdown period.
Besides, the two-day weekly shutdown on Saturday and Sunday will also remain in force till June 30.
