Bhubaneswar: Over 50 litres of foreign liquor was seized by the Commissionerate Police and one person arrested in Bhubaneswar on Sunday afternoon.
The Quick Action Team (QAT) and Naypalli police acted swiftly on getting information and conducted a joint raid in Nilakantha Nagar, near the Passport Office.
The cops seized 51.3 litres of foreign liquor of different brands as well as Rs 28,500 in cash.
Bhubaneswar is one of the 170 hotspots identified during the COVID-19 pandemic and is under complete shutdown. There is no permission for liquor shops to be opened.
