Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Saturday arrested a lodge owner for assaulting a female sub-inspector.
According to reports, the sub-inspector posted at the office of the Superintendent of Police had travelled to Bhubaneswar on medical duty.
After arriving in the capital city, she was about to park the vehicle near a lodge in Khandagiri area when the lodge owner and some of his employees asked her not to park the vehicle. When she refused, they assaulted her.
Following a complaint by the female SI, Khandagiri police registered a case and arrested the lodge owner.
Efforts are on to nab the three employees of the lodge who are absconding, police said.
