Bhadrak: The woman, who had reportedly attempted suicide following criticism for losing in the recently concluded panchayat elections in the district, died while undergoing treatment in hospital on Tuesday.
According to sources, the woman, Sumati Parida of Bada Agapur village had contested for panchayat samiti member post of Padmapur panchayat under Basudevpur block. She lost to BJD candidate Sandhyarani Nayak.
