This year’s festive season is full to bursting with new Odia movies like every year. Keeping the younger generation in mind, production houses have already released songs on digital platform to attract moviegoers.
Tarang Cine Production’s ‘Hero No. 1’ featuring Babushan and Bhumika has struck a chord with the audience with its peppy dance number ‘dj wala dance..’ The song with Bhumika, a trained dancer, matching steps with Babushan looks no less than a Bollywood number. The film has been directed by Tapas Sragharia while music is by Abhijit Majumdar. Bhumika of ‘Tu Mo Love Story’ fame romancing lawyer Babushan would be an enjoyable watch.
On the other hand, industry’s superstar Anubhav Mohanty is essaying the role of a village boy, who tries hard to speak English to impress his lady love Elina Samantaray in ‘Kabula Barabula’. Shedding the angry young man image, he is trying his hand at comedy with Papu Pom Pom and Harihar Mohapatra in the film. A joint production of Vidisha Craft and AB Films, Ramesh Rout has handled direction. Composed by Prem Anand, the songs ‘e sonu..’ and ‘zaalima o zaalima..’ has received rave reviews.
Ollywood star Arindam is pairing up with Archita for his second production ‘Shiva- Not Out’. While the music has been scored by Prem Anand, direction is by Sudhansu Sahu. Though a love story, there is enough action and drama in the film to keep the audience glued to their seats. The film also features Aparajita Mohanty, Manoj Mishra and Pradyumna Lenka.
