Low Pressure Drifts To Gangetic West Bengal
Bhubaneswar: The people of Odisha heaved a sigh of relief as the depression, which lay centred about 70 km south of Keonjhar in early on Friday morning, weakened into a well-marked low-pressure and drifted to the Gangetic West Bengal after moving in the east-north-east direction.
A release by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at 10 am said that except sporadic rainfall at a few places in the north and coastal districts, there will be no heavy rains in the state.
The release also said that there is no restriction for fishermen venturing into the sea as the weather has become normal.
It has also advised the authorities of all the major ports in the state to remove the local cautionary signal.
