Bhubaneswar: With a low pressure most likely to form off Odisha coast within 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall in south coastal districts of the state.

“Under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over coastal Odisha and neighbourhood, a low-pressure area is most likely to form over the west-central and adjoining north-west Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coasts within 24 hours. As a result, there will be heavy rainfall over the south coastal districts for next five days upto July 14,” the IMD said in an evening bulletin on Saturday.
