New Delhi: The price of non-subsidised liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been revised with effect from today (March 1). It has been hiked by Rs 25 and will cost Rs 819 per cylinder (14.2 kilograms) in Delhi, according to Indian Oil Corporation, NDTV reported.
In Odisha, it will cost Rs 845.50 per cylinder.
Indian Oil, the country’s largest fuel retailer, supplies LPG under the brand Indane. Usually, the rates of non-subsidised LPG cylinders are reviewed on a monthly basis and any changes effected on the first day of each month. Cooking gas rates vary in different parts of the country due to local taxes.
Earlier, on February 26 too, the price per cylinder was hiked by Rs 25, which was the third time the price was raised in the month.
In February alone, the price surged by Rs 100.
