Luxury Resort To Come Up Near Jirang Buddhist Monastery In Odisha’s Chandragiri

Bhubaneswar: People visiting Chandragiri, also known as mini Tibet of Odisha, will soon get an option of staying at a luxury boutique resort.

Atmosphere Core, in collaboration with Pratyaksh Estates Private Limited, has revealed plans to establish a new resort named Pratyaksh, set to open in Q4 2027. Nestled in the valleys of the Eastern Ghats, the resort will be accessible from Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam, the capitals of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh..

Salil Panigrahi, founder and group managing director of Atmosphere Core, highlighted that the company’s expansion strategy in India emphasises on creating premium experiences in culturally rich hill station destinations. “This upcoming resort in southern Odisha near Jirang Buddhist Monastery is carefully designed to cater to a diverse range of travellers. This is our effort to promote this beautiful destination and bring it to the global tourism map,” he added.

Chandragiri, around 250 km from Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam, is home to Jirang Buddhist Monastery, inaugurated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 2010.

She further stated that the resort will have cottages, suites, luxury tents, and villas. “Guests will enjoy panoramic views of the Eastern Ghats, the Jirang Buddhist Monastery and surrounding greenery, creating a serene and immersive setting.”

The culinary offerings will include all-day dining with outdoor seating, a specialty restaurant serving Indian and Tibetan flavours, an in-house bakery, a lounge with a library, and a themed bar. Wellness facilities will centre around the award-winning ELE|NA Ayur Spa, offering tranquil therapy rooms, meditation and yoga decks with views of the monastery and mountains. Indoor and outdoor leisure activities will be curated for diverse experiences.
