Bhubaneswar: Kartikey Gupta of Maharashtra topped the JEE Advanced 2019, the results of which were announced at IIT Roorkee on Friday.
Sambit Behera from Bhubaneswar topped the ranking list in the SC category.
In the general category, Himanshu Gaurav Singh from Allahabad and Archit Bubna from New Delhi secured second and third ranks respectively.
Out of 2.45 lakh students in the country who had qualified for the JEE Advanced, about 1.73 lakh candidates had appeared for the examination. In Odisha, out of the around 5000 students who had qualified for the JEE Advanced, 3261 had sat for the examination.
The ranks scored by the candidates in JEE Advanced Result 2019 or JEE Result 2019 is taken into consideration by all the 23 participating IITs for granting admission in the four-year undergraduate courses.
Further, successful candidates can also apply for admission in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Rae Bareli (RGIPT), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc), Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) and six Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER)
How to check the JEE Advanced 2019 results:
Students can see their results by clicking on the result link on the official website www.jeeadv.ac.in and enter their respective JEE Advanced 2019 registration number, date of birth, mobile number and email ID. After clicking on “Get Result”, the JEE Advanced 2019 result will be displayed on the screen. After checking the all the details they should download the results and take a printout for future use.
Availability of JEE Advanced 2019 rank card will be downloaded on the aforesaid website soon after the announcement the results.
The commencement of registrations by the Joint Seat Allotment Authority (JoSAA) will be held between the third and fourth week of June.
