Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has assured Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani of all support. He also invited the group to the ‘Make in Odisha Conclave 2020’ scheduled to be held in November-December.
The assurance came when Adani met the Chief Minister at Naveen Niwas here on Saturday.
Informing about the meeting, the CM’s Office tweeted, “(They) discussed the plans of Adani Group’s investments in Odisha in the areas of logistics, industrial park, new age technology and metal industries.”
The group has already invested at Dhamra Port in Bhadrak district. It has also started the construction an LNG terminal and LPG terminal at the port.
The proposed Dhamra terminal will be a five million tonne per annum (mpta) LNG import and regasification facility. It will be the second LNG import terminal to be built on India’s east coast, after the Indian Oil Corporation’s (IOC) Ennore terminal in Tamil Nadu that opened in March 2019.
The Dhamra project is being jointly developed by Adani Group (50%) and the French multinational oil and gas company Total (50%). The foundation stone for the terminal was laid in July 2017 and construction started in the first half of 2018.
