Malkangiri: A lecturer of Gobindpali College in Malkangiri district was arrested on Monday for allegedly raping a Plus II girl student of the college. He was a witness in the sexual assault case.
“The accused, Ajay Kumar Sutar, had raped the girl and tried to falsely implicate three students in the case. He attempted to give a different angle to the incident,” Malkangiri DSP Manas Barik said.

Sutar was being questioned by police for the past four days following his detention.
Three college students were also detained in connection with the incident, basing on a complaint lodged by the victim on November 9.
On November 7, three non-students took the victim to a room, stripped her naked and recorded the incident on their cellphone.
