Bhubaneswar: In a major reshuffle in the bureaucracy, the Odisha government on Sunday transferred Malakangiri Collector Yeddula Vijay, who has been accused of perpetrating corruption in connivance with a mining firm, and posted him as director, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services.
According to a notification by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department (GA & PG), Vishal Singh will replace him as the new collector of Malkangiri.
Similarly, former BMC commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary, whose sudden transfer from the post had raised eyebrows, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, Western Odisha Development Council (WODC). The 2010-batch IAS officer was posted as OSD, GA & PG.
1998- batch Suresh Kumar Vashishth, Special Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment (A&FE ), is the new Commissioner-cum-Secretary, A & FE.
Bhupendra Singh Poonia has been appointed as managing director, IPICOL, in place of 2003-batch Jawale Nitin Bhanudas, who has been allowed to go on inter-cadre deputation to Maharashtra. Poonia, the 2008-batch IAS officer, was serving as State Project Director, Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) with additional charge of State Project Director, Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and chairman, Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE),
He will remain in additional charge of additional secretary, Industries and executive director IDCO in addition to his own duties.
Gajapati Collector Anupam Saha, has been appointed as State Project Director, OSEPA. The 2012-bach officer will remain in additional charge of member secretary, Mo School.
Sonepur Collector Monisha Banerjee has been shifted to Bargarh.
2015-batch Lingaraj Panda, State Project Director, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathana with additional charge of State Project Director, Odisha Higher Education Program for Excellence and Equity (OHEPEE) is appointed as collector & district magistrate, Gajapati.
2015-batch Aboli Sunil Naravane, ADM, Roukela with additional charge of secretary, Rourkela Development Authority, is appointed as collector & district magistrate, Sonepur.
2016-batch Dibya Jyoti Parida, Commissioner, Rourkela Municipal Corporation with additional charge of CEO, Rourkela Smart City Ltd, is allowed to remain in additional charge of ADM, Rourkela and secretary, Rourkela Development Authority in addition to his own duties.
