Mumbai: Mallika Sherawat has made a surprising claim about Hollywood star Tom Cruise ahead of her appearance on ‘The Traitors 2’.
In a new clip from the reality show, Mallika claimed that Cruise has a crush on her and said she has videos of the two of them partying together.
During a conversation, comedian Aaditya Kulshreshth, popularly known as Kullu and one of the show’s contestants, asked Mallika whether she had ever had a crush on someone or if people were generally the ones who developed a crush on her.
Mallika replied, “Sabko mere pe hi aata hai crush. Tom Cruise ko aaya hua hai aajkal. Jhooth nahi bol rahi, mere paas phone hota toh videos dikhaati uske (Everyone ends up having a crush on me. Tom Cruise has a crush on me these days. I’m not lying, if I had my phone with me, I’d show you his videos).”
Following her claim, Kullu and Abhishek Malhan asked her, “What kind of videos is he sending? Is he sending snaps?”
Mallika replied, “No, from when we were partying together. He is fabulous.”
The clip soon sparked reactions online, with viewers divided over Mallika’s claim. One user wrote, “It sounds funny, but she is saying the truth.”
Another commented, “Lol. What a joke.”
A third user wrote, “She is having Urvashi Rautela syndrome.”
Another fan said, “I can believe her, she is real.”

Earlier, in an interview with Times Entertainment, Mallika spoke about her initial hesitation to participate in ‘The Traitors’.
“Initially, I was very apprehensive about Traitors. I didn’t want to do any reality show. It didn’t excite me as an actor. But then Ankita (Anthony, manager) really convinced me. She said, ‘Just see it. After watching season one, if you don’t like it, we’ll decline. But don’t say no without seeing it.’ I watched it and I loved it,” she said.
In ‘The Traitors’, contestants are secretly divided into Traitors and Innocents. The Traitors must eliminate players without getting caught, while the Innocents try to identify them through strategy and teamwork. Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther won the first season.
The second season, hosted by Karan Johar, will feature 21 contestants, including Mallika Sherawat, Munawar Faruqui, Shweta Tiwari, Rhea Chakraborty, Abhishek Malhan, Krystle D’Souza, Parul Gulati, Dalip Tahil, Shahneel Gill, Shalini Passi, Ranveer Brar, Aaditya Kulshreshth, Harman Baweja, Prish, Rida Tharana, Soundous Moufakir and rapper Ikka.
The Traitors 2 will premiere on Prime Video on August 13.
