Man arrested for hacking two women to death in Balangir

Balangir: A man was arrested for allegedly hacking two women, including his mother, to death at Roth village under Lohisinga police limits in Balangir district on Monday.
The accused, identified as Dayanidhi Baria, had a heated argument with a woman of the village over some petty issues. Following which, he attacked the woman with an axe killing her on the spot. He also hacked his mother to death when she tried to intervene.
Villagers are being questioned to ascertain the exact reason behind the murder, police sources said.
