Man Attempts To Rape Daughter-In-Law In Pipili, Detained

Pipili: A 76-year-old man allegedly attempted to rape his daughter-in-law at Satasankha village under Pipili police station in Puri.

The matter came to light after the woman lodged a police complaint in this regard on Sunday night. She also submitted a video of the deplorable act as proof.

The woman has a 12-year-old son.

According to sources, the complainant’s husband Panchu Mallick works with railways and is posted outside the state. Taking advantage of the situation, her father-in-law outraged her modesty several times.

She had complained about it to her husband, but in vain.

The woman further alleged that she was physically and mentally tortured by her husband, mother-in-law and brother-in-law.

Getting no other option, she approached police station.

Investigation into the matter is on.
