Bengaluru: Bengaluru Police has arrested a man from Bengal for allegedly plotting an attack on the Pakistan Army. The 23-year-old man, who was working as a security guard, was allegedly plotting the attack with the help from a member of the banned outfit, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), reported HT.
The accused has been identified as Asaful Mallick. According to reports, he is a native of North 24 Parganas district. He had been working at a company in Jigani Industrial Area since December 2025, according to a Hindu report.
Mallick was allegedly preparing to undergo training to carry out a terrorist act targeting the Pakistan Army. He reportedly doing so in response to alleged atrocities against Muslims in Pakistan, the report added.
Mallick was traced to an under-construction building near Jigani.
