Rourkela: A man and his son died after coming in contact with a live wire at Vedavyas under Brahmani Tarang police limits here on Tuesday.
According to sources, the mishap occurred as rainwater entered the house of Satya Narayan Saha and he received an electric shock after coming in contact with live wire. Seeing his father collapse, Sanjaya Saha tried to rescue him and was electrocuted. The father-son duo died on the spot.
The incident occurred around at 2 am to 3 am.
Receiving information, police reached the spot and started investigation into the matter. The bodies were sent to the Rourkela Government Hospital for postmortem.
Locals urged the district administration to help his wife and a three-year-old child.
