Man, Wife, Son Found Dead In Odisha’s Berhampur

Berhampur: In a horrific incident, a man committed suicide after allegedly killing his wife and 10-month-old son at Putabagada under Chamakhandi police limits of Berhampur in Ganjam district.

The deceased has been identified as Srujan Pradhan.

Srujan Pradhan’s relatives found his body hanging from a ceiling fan Wednesday morning while his wife and child were lying dead in a pool of blood, said the sources.

“We came to know about the incident around 10 am. The couple had been married for two years. Neighbours believe that the couple had a strained marital relationship. The throats of Srujan’s wife and son were found slit with a sharp-edged weapon,” said a villager.

While the exact cause behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, many villagers believe that the man might have committed the crime following a family feud.

The police reached the spot and seized the bodies. Further investigation is underway.
