Bhubaneswar: Mandatory online registration of people stranded in other states, waiting to return to Odisha, began on Friday.

Only after registering on covid19.odisha.gov.in., the returnees will be allowed to enter the state.

The Odisha government is expecting 7.5 lakh migrants to return to the state after the lockdown ends.

Principal secretary of Panchayati Raj Department DK Singh had earlier told the media that all the migrants planning to come back to Odisha will have to mandatorily register on the portal. A relative of the person can also fill a form and submit it to the officials at Gram Panchayat.

Based on the details about the returnees, the government will make arrangements for transport and other medical facilities for them at respective Gram Panchayats, Singh said.

“Once they arrive, they will be quarantined a temporary medical camps set up at GP level for 14 days. They will be allowed to go back home if found to be in pink of health after the quarantine period,” he had said.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

This online platform has been prepared for the purpose of registration for all those who wants to return back to Odisha, after lockdown restrictions are lifted on May 3. It is mandatory for all those, who are travelling to Odisha, to register themselves in this portal.

  • Along with your details, the returnees are also required to correctly provide information of the local contact person including their mobile number so that the authorities can get in touch with them as well.
  • Strict action will be taken against those, who are filling out incorrect details in this portal.
  • In case someone decides against return back to Odisha, he/she can indicate same by deregistering yourselves in this portal.
  • An OTP as well as any other information related to the registration process, travelling arrangements and quarantine arrangements on the contact number provide here, along with or your local contact details. 

After accepting the terms and conditions, the returnees can register on the portal by filling up details about their present location, address in Odisha and information about the contact person.
